Delta Methylmercury Workshop

  • 03/06/2012
  • 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Board Meeting Room - CVRWQCB, 11020 Sun Center Drive, Rancho Cordova, CA

Dear Delta Methylmercury Stakeholders,

You are invited to a public workshop with staff, stake-holders, and the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC)  for the Delta Methymercury Control Studies on March 6, 2012.

Location: Board meeting room of the Central Valley Water Board, 11020 Sun Center Drive, Suite 200, Rancho Cordova.

Approximate time: 9 am - 4 pm.

Purposes: to introduce the TAC to stakeholders, answer questions about Study Guidelines, and to discuss with the TAC methylmercury control study needs, data gaps, and expectations.

A final agenda will be sent before the workshop and will be posted on the Central Valley Water Board's Delta mercury TMDL webpage.

This workshop is an opportunity to spend time with our independent TAC.  Collectively, they have expertise related to mercury, methylmercury, waste water treatment, hydrology, agriculture and other land practices, wetland design, urban runoff management, and our Bay-Delta system.  To maximize this learning opportunity,  I encourage you to submit questions prior to the workshop.   Questions should be submitted to me.  I will forward them to the TAC.  Possible question topics include potential study topics, protocols, Study Guidelines, or the Phase 1 control program in general.
