Working Together to
Protect Our Water
Established in 2003, the San Joaquin Valley Stormwater Quality Partnership is a coalition of municipal agencies dedicated to helping communities comply with stormwater regulations through shared resources and cooperative efforts.
The partnership originated from EPA Phase II regulations requiring smaller municipal storm sewer systems to obtain discharge permits. What began as six founding agencies has grown to over 15 members, all collaborating to protect our valley's water resources.

Federal regulations require smaller municipal storm sewer systems to obtain discharge permits.
Partnership Founded
Six founding agencies create cost-sharing agreement: Lathrop, Lodi, Manteca, Ripon, Tracy, and San Joaquin County.
Expanded to 19 Members
Partnership grows significantly, adding agencies from across the Central Valley region.
